yes they actualy did this, they replaced our beloved cookie monster with vegie monster because cookie monster taught bad eating habbits to children. no, PARENTS teach bad eating habbits to chlidren, if you let a kid eat mcdonalds 3 times a day every day HE WILL GET FAT! i hate what the world as come to, but if anyone says its the goverment or President Bushes fault there wrong, its the stupid parents! they send in complaints about how they dont want to take responsiblity for there kids weight, so PBS has no choice but to listen. well that or get sued.

What the F !!!! What next, Big Bird becomes Medium Bird. Oscar the grouch becomes Oscar the Happy. Burt and Ernie are married to women and are just regular friends. Elmo is dead (that wouldn't be a bad thing).

This has gone too far...

What next? Ernie & Bert as "life-partners"?
How about Oscar the Grouch getting public assistance?
Cookie Monster will always be Cookie Monster to me.

Actually, you've been misinformed. Cookie Monster still eats his cookies as well as all sorts of random stuff, like he has for the past decades... The only change they made is to make it clear to children that although sweets are tasty, they still need to eat a healthy balanced diet... Cookie Monster is now also eating healthier foods as opposed to saying their yucky... It's not just him. Several other characters, like Elmo, Grover and Bert & Ernie have done similar segments...

That is so dumb. Cookie Monster didn't give kids bad habits, those are from the parents, just like you said. I mean, there are hundreds of thing that give kids "bad habits." Like how Sprite and Coke make shirts and sell them, but you don't see parents complaining about that!

It was a great idea!! HELLO, did you see cookie monster when he appeared on an episode of Family Guy?

The poor thing was in REHAB attacking nurses and holding a lighter unter a spoon of cookie dough to bake the cookie!

LOL

That's lame!
I thin they're taking things a bit to far... Having a veggie monster does not make me want to reach for a carrot over an oreo...

they are idiots and i agree a lot of parents(not all) use the convenient way of raising their kids its easier to get fast food for breakfast lunch and dinner every day this is another one of those convinces its easier to blame TV rather than their selves for their bad parenting skills
