The argument that because Israel was filled with Jews 2000 years ago - a la Judaism and Christianity - being the basis for their claiming it today is rather naive. Let's look at this a different way. If that is real justification, then everyone not of Native American decendency better go back to Europe somewhere, because the Native Americans have the older claim.

The fact is that the Jews lost their land in a war of conquest by the Romans. To say that the Jews today have some (literally) God-given right to the land today means that every nation that was toppled by conquest deserves their land back also. Bullsquash!

Israel succeeded in their agenda of moving into the Holy Land because primarily misdirected Christians thought theirs was a perpetual biblical claim to the land.

To answer your question, yes, modern day Israelis count on naive Christians to keep their country running. First, by bilking the US taxpayer of millions of dollars in foreign aid annually, then also using tourism to 'da holey land' to generate more revenue. So long as gullible Christians buy into this myth, Israel can do now wrong - whether they really do or not. Sad but true.

It's more that they play the role of the hapless victim. Did you know that Jews moved from the Middle East into Europe during the Crusades to set up trade routes. No one was warring with them and they could go back and forth with little difficulty. They were not thrown out of Israel, they CHOSE to relocate.

Did you know that when the Romans had Jerusalem under siege, the Jews were killing each other and destroying their own food supplies. When the Romans finally moved into the city, all they had to do was clean up. No big battle. The Jews did the hard part. Burning the temple was just the end result of Jew killing Jew.

If they truly used history as a tool, they would not have much ground to stand on.

They do, however, take full advantage of the shame and horror of the holocaust. They use it as a red herring. The more ruthless Zionist aggression becomes, the more we hear about the Holocaust

There's a world of difference between being Jewish (or any other ethnicity) and owning a TV station, or running an army.

Aushwitz is now in the public domain. It's a public example of what people do to others when no-one's looking.

It was their land 2000 years ago so it should be theirs now.

In other news, all European and Asian americans are now required to leave the US since it belonged to the American Indians 400 years ago and they want it back.

Israel's claim to their land is the fact that it is promised by God in the Old Testament.

Do you mean the promised land? If so, it is rightfully theirs.
