I feel like I am owed something because:

Forefathers did nothing to protect the enviorment
They let humans replicate like cockroaches furthering the demand on the planets resources.
Clean green earth is more important than all of the human lives that inhabit her.
We were given the gift of intelligence, but will go the way of the dinosaur because we never used it to protect the essentials.

The Government must act now! I'm pissed! agree?

Look at the answers. The government really needs to institute dysgenics. We need to do away with woman having babies whenever and with whoever they want. Look at the sorts of people they produce.. Read the answers - LOOK..

You're absolutely right! Those damned bastards that wrote the constitution didn't put in a clause about only having two children and then getting sterilized. There should be a law that for one hour a day all businesses in the world are required to open their windows and crank up the air conditioner to cool off the atmosphere. That would take care of global warming within two years. We were given the gift of intelligence, too bad more people don't use it. But the government can't act now!!! If the Republicans fixed all our problems, where would we be? Who would we have left to blame? I'm so confused....

Totally, but anything our government does is simply going to be too little too late (sorry to use a cliche). Our forefathers didn't do anything because they weren't fully aware of the damage, i mean it wasn't until the 1970's that we realised the full extent to which we had cause damage. i feel bad but i also feel that by the time the earth see's any major effects I will be dead (i know thats a horrible way to look at it). There isn't much we can do. I choose to do whats best for the government and the West Australian government has started to implement some schemes that will help reduce emisions (such has gas busses, and introducing schemes to pursuade people to car pool or catch public transport).

it pisses me off. unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot we can do about it. the whole entire world would have to act, and a lot of people simply don't give a crap so they will do nothing to protect our planet. the government should be doing more, but our government sucks a.hole and they don't focus on many issues that are actually important. They need to make people more informed and educated about the issue. Something bad will continuously happen to the earth and hopefully the government will be kicking themselves in the a.hole and then do something about it. its a serious issue that we all need to be aware of.
People need to stop popping out babies left and right. The greater the population, the more destructive we are being.

The government is inept under the best of circumstances. But let's look at those famous cycles. Ice sheets melt. Oceans rise. More water in the atmosphere. That means more clouds. More clouds reflect much more sunlight than CO2 can capture. Globe cools down again. Ice reforms on the poles. Back to 'normal', which really never existed in the first place.

No, global warming is NOT a fact. It is just more of the Democratic partys gloom and doom speech. Back in the 1970's the democratic morons were yelling -- ICE AGE ICE AGE. Well??? Where the hell is our ice age? Now the same morons are yelling global warming. In twenty years the idiots will be yelling Ice Age again. If you think there is global warming spend this coming winter in Wisconsin and we'll see what you think when it's 30 below zero (that's without the windchill) and you're up to your butt in snow.

I think we are too late to save anything. You look, two volcanoes in philippines, 1 in Equador and 1 in Indinesia all active spewing lava at the moment. All these volcanoes are on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Another volcano on the ring of fire is Mount Pinatubo which in 1991 blew its top, the worst volcano in recorded history. Pinatubo affected the earths weather for 4 years afterwards. Now imagine if all these 4 volcanoes blow their tops at once. In Indonesia i see a Tsunami has just hit their coast, another sign of plate movement that can cause volcano eruptions. The world governments are not telling you anything

Global warming is a global issue, so it's governments that should act. But it's no longer just global warming we have to deal with. There's also global dimming! Whose effects are worse. Global mass education, environmental awareness and policies are the keys forward. Every individual has a role to play, from being responsible for his immediate environment to helping out.

I agree with you, except that global warming is something that all of us have to take responsibility for. All of us can do things to reduce the amount of CO2 we are creating. Drive less. Make your next car a more fuel efficient car. Turn down the heat in your house. It's ok to be pissed, but better to put that energy to some constructive use.

True. Why not go after the idiots buying huge SUV's? Why buy products from Wal-Mart as they are manufactured in China in where their factories have zero pollution controls? Take public transport or ride a bike? Lots of things you can do on a daily basis to help the planet. I do my part - we need to convince others of the importance of the planet and teach them to only worry about their own useless lives.

The earth goes through warming and cooling cycles.
Global warming is used as political ammo for political purposes.
Those who accuse the Warmers never offer serious alternative plans. As long as we drive, use carbon based fuel to cool and heat, this will go on.
The camp that killed Nuclear Power development encouraged the use of petroleum and coal.
Except by harnessing Solar energy, we have no serious alternative.
