I'd have to say punk and classic, would the world really be worth living without Bad Religion and AC/DC?

And who was the best artist of that sub genre? This is all assuming everyone accepts the well known fact that rock n' roll is by far the supeior music genre over all.

Good question --

At times I like different genres, but one I always like is the "classic" rock along with southern rock.

Led Zepp and Skynyrd!

Hard Rock.

Just because I like the newer rock. And it has a very broad range. From milder Papa Roach, to a bit more metal Mudvayne.

The classics are great to, you can't deny them. But they're also not coming up with ground-breaking new things to set a classic for the next gerneration.

I'm partial to blues rock (Allman Bros, early Led Zeppelin, Cream, etc) or jazz rock (Chick Coreas Return To Forever, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Larry Coryell Eleventh House, etc).
