I tried to play a game on my PS2 and it said that the save file was corrupt.What could have happened?

if it helps the game i was playing was shrek super slam(please save your comments about the game)

you might haev pulled the memory card out while saving something.. ive had that happen man and that s*it sucks.. theres no way to restore the corrupt file thats why its such a bummer

Your memory card needs to be replaced. The same thing happened to me. You are using a third-party memory card and some games are incompatible with third-party merchandise. Go buy an official Sony card and your problem should be solved. Happy gaming!
