i would really like to kno cz im trying pretty hard to impress him and im not doing a good job and hes not into alot of things... he likes rap...?!?!?!

Try less hard... be hard to get ... seem disinterested or show interest in someone else...
Most of all, just be yourself .... don't over do -- he might be intimidated, scared, or plain not interested for no personal reason, just not at this time.

In this day and age , it is ok for you to ask him out on a date. So just walk up and ask him if he would like to go out with you
