In America, we consider people who spend all their time in their basements fantasizing and role playing D&D to be looooooosers!!!!!

They've actually already produced two movies based poorly on D&D so doubt your idea is going to fly. The first movie was helmed by a suppose D&D geek and he screwed the pooch, the movie was so bad and had no semblence to D&D other then they had dungeons and dragons in the movie. They are doing a animated movie based on the Dragonlance world from D&D that is suppose to be in production soon. Still, considering the glut of crap and depths that Hollywood is plumbing (how many bad tv shows are going to be made into movies) you might still see another try at the D&D movie.

Wish it would happen, but I gotta doubt it too. They really killed it with the hardcore fans with the first movie in my opinion. No clerics or paladins, healing magic was unheard of and dragons were stupid enough to get coerced into death duels by a little magic bauble. I was dumb enough to pay full ticket price on opening night to go see that p.o.s.

And, like the first guy said, most folks here in the US consider being a d+d fan to be a big sign saying "nerd here", so it wouldn't have a lot of mainstream people coming to the theater in large numbers to see it.

Oh, by the way
