What are the rules for bocci ball played on the lawn?

Nine women recently attended an overnight birthday party. Bocci ball was one of the games played.
There was a difference of opinion about scoring. Please help.

well when we play the closest ball to the rock gets 2 points and the next closes gets 1 not sure if its right but thats how we play
