People say I'm Beautiful & it embarasses me..What should I answer..because I think am not.?

I think I'm just okay, not ugly, not the most beautiful, just right. But all the time am told that I'm beautiful , classy & like my style, to the point it frustrates my friends & it really embarrasses me. What do you think would be the best answer? I'm 62 , my friends are younger than me..nobody thinks I am that old..:)

Your question is a reflection of the true person that you are...(very intelligent and introspective, that's awesome!)
It's too bad that some people are so hung up on what you look like on the outside, the physical beauty, and don't really look...look to where your spirit lives.
Only in time will the unspoken language of your soul reach those who only seek the surface of the water.
In the mean time, simply send them your smile as a ripple on the pond.

You have a very classic beauty, judging by your photo. When they say "you're beautiful", say "thank you". What we perceive in the mirror is rarely what others see, and you're at the age in life when you should let every quality you have shine and hold your head up with full confidence.

Also, self-deprecation can be viewed as a very unattractive quality, and people generally don't like to give others compliments and have them shut down. People won't venture forth the opinion that you're beautiful unless they truly belive that you are. Go with that positive feedback, and allow yourself to be made happy with these (deserved) compliments.

I think you should just say, "Thank you; it's kind of you to say so." If you deny your beauty, you're saying the person has no taste in beauty. If you, truly, feel it's not true, you're saying that even though you don't agree, the person is very kind to say so.

everyone is beautiful, keep that in mind :) BUT if it does make you uncomfortable with it, just smile or giggle politely. dont tell them other wise because they might insist and youll just be more embarrassed. Of course, they are just wanting to compliment you, so just say thanks and be on your way. If its family or close friends, hopefully they should know it bugs you and they wont go there. But dont let it get to you either way! good luck hun!
