Is there anyone in his life that may try to lay claim to it? If not then no. If so then you may have to take it to probate court. Good luck

It is called joint tenancy and in most states you are responsible for all repairs, taxes and liens. It is also your house exclusively...you can not will anything in the way of real estate that is jointly owned. See an attorney.

If your name is on the house then it is yours and all the bills that go along with it. You need to go to the court house and look at the deed.
