It happens! Some times a crappy reception can cause voice warpage.
This boyfriend of yours doesn't seem like a very nice guy judging by what you have left here. If he can't trust you and take your word for things the way they are, then maybe you should just let him take a long walk off a short pier! Find someone who will appreciate you and treat you the way you deserve to be treated.

Tell him it was a mistake, you didn't listen to the voice good and you were expecting a phone call from that other person and can we please stop fighting about this.
But it does sound like he's a real jerk and someone you shouldn't love. Him saying if you hang up on him you're through sounds like a tactic to dominate you and make himself the superior one in the relationship, make you crawl on your hands and knees. Sounds like he has anger problems and my advice would be to get out, but if you really won't then say what I said to say maybe that will help.

He is acting like a d*ck, geez, would I set him straight after he hung up on me the first time. There is nothing you can do,, just don't call him and wait til he calms down, and he calls you. Wait and if he doesn't call you back in 2 days, you call him tell him he is over reacting and to get lost in the middle of a highway, so that he gets hit by a car,... Two days should be enogh for him to calm down and be at a torelable state to talk to, It honestly does happen alot, to confuse someone for someone else. Now if you confused him for one of your ex boyfriends, thats going to crush him and he might not call you for a couple of days. Main thing is to WAIT IT OUT....
Take care and Good luck

try to explain to him that it was just a mistake. Its up to him whether he wants to trust you or not, but he's overreacting. Tell him he's the only one you want and that it was an honest mistake. You might need to give him some time.

people make mistakes. he should know that. and a lot of people's voices sound alike. he is so not worth your time. do whatever you want, but i would dump him. im sure its hard to think about that right now, but there are probably a lot more things that he has pverreacted on. think about it. i hope u make the right choice.

Just laugh and tell him you are sooo sorry. lol!
Tell him his voice on the phone sounds totally different than it does in person and swear, that you thought it was someone else.
Tell him NEXT time, when he calls, to say:.."Hi, it's me,(insert his name here).
If he forgets or you're just not sure WHO it is on the phone, just ask "Who's calling?"
