I have squash nearby can this be cross pollination or does it mean my plants are sick. The leaves of the cukes have also turned orange as well and I do not know what is wrong? My squash are unharmed, What gives?

No, it's not cross-pollinating. If it was, you wouldn't see the effects until you planted the seeds of the next generation. Your vines are just reaching their age limit and are dying of old age. The bible says "four score and 10" and it is the same with cukes. Plant some new seeds and you may get a healthy fall crop.

It diffinitely is cross pollinating. I have been through this before. I planted pickleing cukes near my yellow squash and they got big, yellow, and seedy. Now I plant them far away from each other, like I put tomatoe plants and peas between them.
