The one our family has now is painted with a cow pattern. My dad and I did it because my mom loves cows. Not an actual cow though, just the pattern. I have seen one that was a whole cow, though, the face was the door part.
I think when I get my own house I may make mine into a book. I've always loved reading, and a bookmark flag would look quite nice I think.

I think mine would be hot pink and it would look like a Flamingo.
The post would have the flamingo legs painted on it and the Flamingo head would be cut from wood and attached to the top of the mailbox. The box would make the Flamingo body.
Either that or I would paint it with seashells and palm trees and Hibiscus.

The door is painted like the red inside part of the melon, with seeds and the rest is painted the mottled green like the out side. I guess however, if I did one for mail, we use a PO box, I would have to have it covered in an assortment of flowers, or cats. I like both, and have my share of both.
