what about the outcomes of such an event....global economic meltdown...chaos....rape, murder, general demeanment of women....demogogues rise to power...

would you like more security then?

you associate more security as encroaching on your rights...

but there are many effective methods that could enhance both, without diminishing eather.

I would rather live through a nuclear disaster in my own town than give up my rights. As Ben Franklin said, those who will sacrifice freedom for safety desire to be neither safe nor free.
I think our government has already begun infringing on our rights - have you heard about "free speech zones"? Those are places they ship the protestors they don't agree with, while allowing protestors they (and by they I mean Bush) agree with to stay.

I would keep on living the way I always had. I'm sorry, but I do not want to give up any liberties in the name of so called security.

The best security is get rid of the ACLU who puts "rights" over life and death.
I'd rather be alive with fewer "rights" than dead with abundant "rights".....most of which I don't use anyway.
