I ran wire from parents dish box to mine in my room so that I can have dish in my room also.I know that I would have to watch what they watch but I dont care because my parents are into the same stuff as me.So my dad told me I could run a wire to my room but it didnt work.I finally got a signal and it came on, so I started changing the channels and all the channels say I need to purchase them.So I dont have any channels.That isnt right I should have all of them because I hooked up to my parents.And I have a smart card also.Anyway if anyone can tell me what I might have done wrong I would appreciate it.We did this a few years ago and it did work so I dont know whats going on.

you still need a receiver for that TV that's how it works one receiver one TV sorry

have your parents call the satellite company and get a receiver for your room. It's the smart and legal thing to do.
