During the school year (I am working on a phD in math) I think about math almost constantly. Sometimes I will be stuck on a problem for days and your brain will not stop working on a problem till it is solved. I have solved problems in my sleep and had to get out of bed to write them down. I have solved problems in the shower. I have done math in my head while driving. I try to stop working on math at least 30 minutes before I go to bed and read a novel for a bit. This helps a little bit.

Not any more. But used to do that in highschool and sometimes even during my first degree - in the first and second years... :))
I even dreamt solutions to some math problems - just jumped out of bed in the morning - and with a fresh brain... wrote down what I had dreamt to check up if it was good - and most of the time: IT WAS PERFECT!!!

Yes. I am constantly making up problems and solving them in my head. When I'm laying in bed, when I'm watching TV, when I'm eating, when I'm walking, when I'm playing a game. I just do.
It doesn't annoy me that I do this, it's just that sometimes, I can't figure out the solution, and it drives me crazy until I figure it out.

Why not! Math rocks! I feel bad for people who just don't "get it". My kids and I look for math things/games/etc all the time.
