First of all, I have to say that it is awesome that you are interested in something so important at such a young age (assuming that you are asking this question for yourself...)

I would start by looking for a charity or organization that you feel is worthwhile and helping with the issues that you want to help with. To find them I would just use Google and type in 'aids organizations help Africa', or just 'aids help Africa'.

If you find a good one, I think the best way to raise money or awareness would be through school. Try a teacher, maybe one who teaches government, geography, economics, history, or something along those lines. Or you could even talk to someone in your school's administration (the principal, vice principal, counselor, etc.) Through a class, or club at your school, you could do fundraisers to collect money and then donate it through your charity.

I know at my high school, there were a ton of clubs and/or teachers that would love to do this. I know at age 12, in junior high or middle school, it is going to be a bit tougher. If you have friends who share your concern, enlist them to help, and/or get your parents in on it too! It will take a lot of work and dedication, but the end result will be so awesome. Plus, the fact that you are the main organizer of something like this will be a great thing to put on college applications.

Good Luck!!

First and most importantly: DO NOT THINK YOU CAN'T HELP BECAUSE YOU ARE YOUNG. Alex's Lemonade Stand was started by an 8 year old and that fundraiser is almost a household name now. (See second link below.)

Second, Click on the first link. There are agencies that can accept donations that help AIDS in Africa directly.

Third, don't ask for donations at first, First you tell people about the problem, then you tell them how easy it is to help.

YOU GO! YAY!

that's so kewl that u want to do that, usually, there are foundations or organizations that do those things, i don't want to advertise without other peoples permission but you should be able to find something or probably go on a local TV/radio show in your area and people can donate. (my fav radio station has stuff like that to tell their listeners about stuff like that)
God bless you!
