not sure what your proposing is such a good idea! If you're planning on making money selling antiques, I'd have thought you'd have to be an expert to start with. And if you have to ask about fairs in your local area, then you obviously aren't!

if you're really set on it though I'd suggest you start fairly small and gradually expand your knowledge base.

I don't know about collectables in Dublin or Ireland, but I can tell you about eBay.

Type "www.ebay.co.uk" in the address bar of MSN for example, unless you are an American and the website will appear, You will see a dialogue that says "Register". Click on that and you will be asked to give yourself an ID and password. Make a note of your ID and password.

You should be directed to "My eBay" and follow the on-screen instructions from there, giving you a number of choices about buying, selling.and PayPal, to mention but a few.

Not sure about the fairs, you could try temple bar square on a saturday, plenty of tourists to lap up the Irish treasures and the weather is fantastic...

Ebay works but it takes a bit of art and patience,

Best thing is open up a paypal account with ebay straight away...

go to

http://pages.ebay.ie/help/ebayexplained/newtoebay/index.html

Sell a few small items quickly just to build up your rating, it could be anything, bags of taytos, it doen't matter just clock up 20 sales to have full buying and selling rites....

best of luck...if you need a new phone for your business check out http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290007592235&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

Happy Bidding!!

Ebay is very self explanatory and easy to use. Follow all instructions which come in sequence when joining and when selling, and make sure you have a current and easily accessible email address, as all communication is done through email.
