My hobby is and always has been collecting cat memorabilia.
I have quite a collection of cat figurines, plates & other things.
It's a great hobby especially when people go to different countries etc. & bring me back a figurine, calender or whatever. Great to go to flee markets & see if there's any cat memorbelia there.

Stamp collecting...I was about 9 when I found some World War II era letters near a recently cleaned warehouse. I learned a lot about language, geography, currency of the world and all sorts of things...the king of hobbies and the hobby of kings. I also learned to speak up and ask people for stamps since I was a "po" Southern boy and had other things to spend my $1 allowance on like bargain music. You could even collect pictures of stamps via internet and skip the album, glued hinges, stamps falling out, soaking them off-cover, drying them face down on newspaper,etc.

model building... from the simple ones up to the wooden sailing ships with real wood parts...awesome....i miss those moments where all i could think of is how to build the model and make as realistic as possible without showing the glue markings or the overlaying of paints.... i liked it a lot....
now with the family and a dog...do not have that free time anymore...but i do hope someday ..i will be able to build the ONE
to perfection...NEVER GIVE UP!!!!! NEVER SURRENDER!!!!
