The American media is inherently conservative because it's bent on maintaining the status quo that props it up. Think about this: what would happen if CNN started broadcasting stories that criticized capitalism? Well, if the stories had their desired effect, CNN would go under.
Or think of it this way: what would happen if MTV started running promos that criticized the corporate culture that's encouraging a widening gap between the upper and lower classes? Well... MTV is a corporation. Hence, they would go under.
So all the media is bent on keeping things the same, and doing what's beneficial to them, since they are run for profit. Republicans LIKE corporations, monopolies, etc. So it's in their best interest to be conservative most of the time.

Entertainment sells, look at Hollywood, content has no sizable value these days. Objective reporting is a thing of the past in the US there is so much editorial, expert opinions... Have you ever seen NTV a European news channel, directly compared with CNN or Fox news, it's absolutely incredible... if Patriotism is the Opium of the masses, the Media is like crack.

Well i don't think no media organization is totally unbiased. However i do agree with you to a ceratain extent, in that american media is unbiased , most jounalists today fidn it very difcult to be objective, and i belive that the American media is more liberal than conservative.

Give me a break!! Why is it when a republican gets into trouble the media readily identifies his party with a "R" after his name on the news, but not a democrat. Case in point, it was 4 months before I finally found out that Jefferson Davis was a Dem, because only Fox finally I.D. him.

American media is not conservative. It is extremely Liberal.
They are for sex, money, and more government control.
Have you ever noticed how many stars are Liberal?
You think if the media were conservative we would have so many Liberal stars?

The main stream media only report the things that are wrong or go wrong. VERY little that goes right.
The BBC,CBC, and Reuters refuse to say that Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Quida, or the PLO are terrorist but rather they are the ones that are being percuted by the Jewish nation of Israel.

because they are idiots and try to shelter the information from the public they do not feel that we need to know. They want to keep the violence away because of tipper gore and other people like her.
