My husband has put his status as single on myspace

I would be concerned. The reasons are like this. Most lokely he's put it on so he can chat with other single people. I would imagine that he also goes into chat rooms, and chats with people also. I've found that many dont want to chat with non-single males, for some reason.
Of, course it may have been a mistake. Tell him you had a look, being curious, and point out the mistake. If he says it wasnt an error, ask him why.

Maybe it was just a mistake. Was it the first time seeing his myspace since you two got married? Maybe he accidently left himself as single or hasn't gone on myspace again since marriage.

Yeah. Mine put his on Yahoo Personals and other meeting sites. I know he has cheated, just dont have proof except for the gut instinct. But I don't want to lose face either. What possible reason would he need to throw someone off? If these men wanted to be single, then they shoud have stayed single!!!

He may have just forgotten to check the status box---or he may want other people to think he is single (i.e. he wants to have an online relationship). If he has all of his profile filled out, than he probably did it on purpose. The only way you'll find out is to ask (or install software to spy on him). Though, he might accuse you of snooping.

To really find out, have a friend proposition him under a name that he won't recognize, and see how he responds. Doesn't sound like his intentions are good, but then again, he may think it doesn't sound cool to put married. One must think though that if he is ashamed or afraid to put married, then something isn't right with that picture.

I would consider that reason for concern.
He is probably just playing a fantasy role but the idea isn't good and can lead to trouble.
