With the available choices provided by you, I would say Michael Jordan. But if I can choose anyone that has ever played NBA, I would choose Wilt Chamberlain. After all, how many players have ever scored 100 points in one game?? Not even Michael Jordan has done it.

I would say from your list that MJ is the best, but it's hard too say b/c each era has there greats, so you can't say that one man is the greatest ever, b/c a lot of the greats have never played against each other, but right now I would say the greatest is MJ, over a career, Wilts 100 point game is impressiive, and the fact that he averaged 50 rebounds a game one season is also astonishing, but the Big "O" Oscar Robertson averaged a Triple Double over a season, now tell me one someone will ever do that again. Also, I think before it's all said, and done Lebron James will be known as the greatest too ever play, and at first I didn't think he was as good as all the hype, but after watching him play these past few seasons, I have too say the his Airness is being dethroned by the King.

Michael Jordan. Lets not include Kobe on the list. Magic Johnson i think is good but competition in his time was not as stiff as when Michael was making his name. Sure Magic can make his teammates look better, but i think Jordan has done that to Pippen, Rodman and his other teammates. Jordan is a deadspot shooter, he can really score, he can shoot from the 3 point area, pull out a jumper anytime and take you on the dribble drive to the basket and slam the ball in your face. and besides Jordan is far more exciting to watch than magic. He's always on fire!

Magic is the best player ever in this case. Kobe cannot be called the greatest player because he does not have the ability to make his other teammate better, he cannot do all this by himself, he needed the help of shaq. Jordan was a great player, he could shoot and he make others question themselves as to whether this man could even be stopped at all. But Magic made everyone around him better, his teammates and even his opponents. His bench teammates shot like they were starters because of his passing and his opponents learned the skills of the game because of magic.

To some people, it is Jordan. If I were starting a team I would pick Chamberlain. This is the scenario: MJ 's team is winning 2 games to none and he gorilla dunks on Wilt. Wilt gets mad and the next time Jordan tries it, he is slammed to the floor and misses the rest of the series. MJ's team loses 4 games to 2.
