Depending on the organization you can be employed in accounting with an AA. Look at Accounting Technicians, Fiscal Specialists, etc. Most Accountant II and III will require a BA. Also - some employers allow for a substitution. So, you may be able to sub for a BA using your AA and additional work experience. Salary for accountant positions are on the rise, so this is a good time to get in. Good luck!

Depends on the employer, and your experience level. If you ever want to advance in your carreer, you'll need at least a bachelor's degree, and eventually a master's and/or CPA.

you can get an acountant job with no degree you just get paid really bad. You can still do books for a business you just do not get paid and I do not think you can be a CPA. Get working and get your bs while working and then get your CPA you need to get paid well for what you do.
