When your current job or career is no longer interesting or challenging and you start feeling like you can't take another day of it, it's time for a change.

There are a number of way to tell.

1) The industry or field is in "trouble." For example, I lost my job in IT due to downsizing. The field basically closed and there were few jobs available, so I was forced to change careers.

2) You've gotten bored. Some people love it and want to remain there forever, but others do it for a while and then want to try something else as a change.

3) You've gone as far as you can. If you're at the top of your payscale or job responsibilities, and there's basically no where to go from there, then maybe a change of careers will open the door to greater opportunities.

4) You don't like anymore. Some people love it at first, but then as they learn more, begin to hate it.

While there are some other reasons, these are the major ones.

The KEY is whether you're happy in it, there's still room to advance, and your making enough to survive. If the answer to any or all of these is no, then perhaps a career change or additional training is needed.

I knew it was really time for a change when I found myself disliking the people who were my regular customers, found myself not putting my heart into my job anymore and mostly when I found myself resenting the owners of the business because they were making a good living off of my efforts.
Then I realized it was me! I was just plain unhappy with what I was doing and the way my life was going.
I received an unexpected phone call with an offer to go into business for myself.
Her timing couldn't have been better. I really needed a change and didn't realize how much.
I was also handed a book by another friend called "The secrets of the millionaire mind". I can safely say it turned my life around. I have always been interested in getting ahead but now I have some excellent tools to help me do that.
I am now much happier, enthusiastic, excited and back in the saddle! I am back to my old self again and couldn't be happier....I am now lining my own pockets instead of someone else's.

I'm currently building my business as an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay and am looking for sharp, positive women to join my team. There are four reasons women become MK consultants: 1. Money, 2. Flexibility, 3. Fun, 4. Hope. The starter kit is $100 and comes with over $300 worth of product, so worst case scenario - it's the biggest compact you ever bought. Best case scenario - it could change your life. There's no pressure, no quotas, no boss. You will meet tons of great, positive girlfriends. I'm having so much fun and earning great money!

Take the Life Can Be Good quiz on my website to see if the MK opportunity is right for you:

U know when the time has come when you can ask yourself, "How will I advance on this job"? and " What position can I advance to"? and there is no positive answer OR when U come to the realization that when you are the employee, you are not making $$$ for yourself, it is really for the "Owner" of the company/business. You help a company to be productive, but when it is all said and done, you dont get the most of the production. Hope this helps U make a much needed move.

I made that transition not too long ago, and the answer is really quite simple. The day will come, that no matter how hard you try, you just can't work for someone else, and you simply must be your own boss. For some, that day never comes. I suspect in your case, it may not be far off.

Start saving as much as possible. One of the pitfalls with self-employment is no guaranteed income stream. Some businesses struggle for years before making a nice profit. But all that doesn't matter when you wake up one morning and realize, "This is it!"

Change careers or jobs? There are a lot of reasons to change companies, work closer to home, more money and advancement, change in management. AS for working for yourself: You need a working knowledge of the business, so you are not paying as you learn.

Its something that you feel inside..like becoming bored with the same old thing, day after day..also when people sometimes get on your nerves..its those little things!!

Think about what you really like to do & try to make a carreer out of it!

You never know until you try!!

Good Luck!!!

When your job has become meaningless or boring. When you feel underappreciated and over worked. Or when you would rather do something more motivating or challenging or less...depending on the job. Just anytime your really unhappy and want to change.

when you are too old to do anything about it ! Seriously, most can sense it from within, they don't like what the others do.
