Depends actually on several factors(I am Owner of a Travel Agency):

1-Are you into activities? Or doing as little as possible?

2-"Fun resorts" can carry lots of definitions, especially for single travellers.

3-How long do you plan to stay?

4-Do you have a Travel budget?

Minor details but actually important because it will simplify the process of finding Resorts that fit your criteria. Also keep in mind that there are some differences between an "all-inclusive" Resort and a simple Air/Resort package. The main difference is this--with an "all-inclusive" everything is included. Accomodations, air, most if not all activities, their food, their drink--it's all included. Now with an Air/Resort package typically you only get your air and accomodations.

So if this is simply a chance to save some money, then an "all-inclusive" is your best bet. If you want quality accomodations, atmosphere, and get your food/drink elsewhere, then a simple Air/Resort package might work best for you. It all depends on you want in particular. Also remember that when you get outside recommendations, they come from people's experiences and their tastes, which may or may not mirror your own. After all, this is YOUR vacation, not theirs.

Cancun fortunately is one of the more popular and economical locations to travel this summer, with lots of choices. If you could kindly either call, email me at: indysteve1563@yahoo.com, or reach me through Yahoo Messenger with what you have in mind, we can see what is currently available in Cancun, Mexico that is "fun", economical, and offers you all-inclusive and/or Air/Resort options.

The Spa Resort (this is a better choice because last time i went, children weren't allowed to stay here...), or the Mayan Palace....yes, definitely go all inclusive, it's A LOT cheaper. and has many more advantages...have fun :)

All inclusive is the way to go, absolutely.

My favorite all-inclusive is the RIU resort. Cancun has one. Went to the one in Negril, and it was excellent.
