how much does it cost?

I was on a plane and the person in front of me had a small dog that fit in a carrier that could fit under the seat. I think if it fits under the seat, it would be considered carry on luggage.

I also knew someone with a very large dog. Her dog was considered a "service dog" for kids diagnosed with ADHD. If the dog is documented as a service dog, it can fly on the plane no matter how big it is.

Only on certain airlines, not in the summer (unless he is so small he can fight under the seat - and no I am not kidding), and the cost is $ 75.00 each way. I can not fly with my dog, he is a puppy and weighs 120 pounds, plus he is a security dog, so he is not allowed. If your dog shows any aggressive tendencies he will not be allowed on the plane. Good luck.

BTW trains no longer allow dogs either. I had to drive my puppy home to visit my parents.

Dogs and cats usually travel in cages in a special compartment of the luggage hold of the plane. The cost depends on the distance, etc, contact your airline to find out, also ask about any health restrictions when taking dog overseas or interstate.

Yes can , but you need to buy a dog's cage.Airlines do sell them.
The price is obviously depends on the distance.
I would recommed that you give the dog a tranqiliser before the trip. For that you see , the vet..
If the trip is short , and your pet is small, maybe you could carry him'her on board the plane in a small bag, but this you need to check with the airline you are travelling.

i must be the in basic terms one which would not fly a canines lower back. i did not like the way she became ignored in the time of a 7 hour layover at the same time as they were meant to allow her out of her crate (we paid an more desirable $four hundred for that provider). She became stuck in that crate 27 hours with out food or water or potty breaks. She became dealt with properly on the airport in L.A. . We had to reboard for yet another 3 hours contained in the air & became dealt with extraordinarily on the airport in Omaha, Nebraska. They shoved her cage by the outsized luggage slot & if I hadn't been there to seize her formerly she hit, she would've been damage. The airport heard about it for a lengthy time period. obviously, i will't fly yet another canines everywhere. And by the way, they do no longer sedate canines formerly a flight. It lowers their body temp too a lot.

Here is American Airlines info on flying with pets. I fyou go to other carriers they will have their info too. Only smaller pets can go in the cabin, since they have to fit under the seats. Bigger ones travel below.

I think they are attracted to me. Everytime I fly there is one sitting on either side. I look around and there are plenty of good looking babes on the plane....but me...I am always sitting next to a dog!

Yeah, you can, but you must take him inside of one of those cage-like boxes. As for the price, it depends on the company.
