I do not think so, He proclaimed "make love instead of war" but did he ever gave the love to his son Julian Lennon? Love and family are seeds that grow together and Peace is one of those flowers. Julian and mom were dumped. He left them without love without peace on their hearts and lives. He came then to America to "preach' about "peace" when within his life there was nothing but disasters. Julian Lennon stated more than once that he would like to have his father with him. He stated in several interviews that he resents him a lot because when he left them he did not even say good bye. He was a coward.

The question itself is contradictory...zombies do not bring peace in the first place and rukkiding made an important statement. Either way Lennon intended peace and wanted peace and perhaps made a small contribution because of his celebrity factor.
So let´s think a bit less in zombies, a bit less in death people and start making some peace of our own...

Why and how could he do that? He didn't do anything spectacular when he was alive. Marrying YokoOno sure wasn't a big deal.
