This is the best I can give you. Asian were taught to treat us a ghost growing up. They were also taught that the White man better their race and the brown man tarnishes it. To be with brown folks is taboo brotha. I see what you are talking about every day as I live in California SF to be exact where there are tons of asians so it is more prevalent to see here.
It was hard for me. My child is half chinese\vietnamese.
It was hard for her mother
because she lost face with her familiy because of me.
The whole affair made me realize the underlying racism they carry.
Till this day I harbor racism for asians because I know what they are capable of. I had an entire family live with me when my ex was present.
Of course my ex is with a white guy now and no one seems bothered by that.
It is what it is brotha.
we are taboo. Good for kids an great f$%$k but not for life.
Its the badge we carry.

Well, for some Asians, it is all about status. And the anglo race is seen as a step up. Also, I know someone who has 4 kids, he is Korean and he has 3 kids that are half hispanic and half korean. Only 1 is half caucasian, but she doesn't count...she's from the ghetto.
Don't give up.

It's called self fulfilling prophecy. You expected to see things a certain way so you notice it that way very easily. When a black man is hanging out with his asian friends, you brain doesn't register as quickly and you might miss it. Slow down and take a closer look. This was an example from my sociology textbook.

I think part of it has to do with there being more Whites than blacks in the military, not percentage-wise just sheer numbers, also for whatever reason more whites visit Asia than blacks right? If more blacks visited Asia stereotypes might change or be confirmed depending on who visits I suppose. GL with that.

I think some "blacks" are too cool for us asians, so they tend to hang around with their group and date within their group. I wouldn't mind dating one, I think they are hot.
Plus, I live in an area with a lot of asians and blacks more than whites, and yet you guys don't hit us up. =)

yes, i agree. where i live i see asian woman-caucasian man couples a lot. it might be a little far-fetched but maybe causcasian men find relationships with a asian women a lot more stable because they give more deference(not obedient but cooperative) to their husbands than caucasian women who tend to be more independent. this is just a generalization, no offense to the asian women out there who are independent. as for african-americans, there is definitely a lot of racism still out there because you see so few asian-black and caucasian-black couples. its not because of skin color but the inferiority complex with african americans is still there.

My Asian friend dates an African-American guy and they are very happy. Maybe it is where you live. In the mid-west I see alot of black/asian couples, especially in wealthier circles

If you want to date an Asian woman, or any other woman for that matter, just go up to her and introduce yourself, and ask her her name. Its that simple! Race has nothing to do with getting to know someone. Grow up! If she says no, move on. How hard is that??

When the general population of black americans start taking responsibility for thier actions instead of screaming racism at everything along with the entitlement mentality, the reputaion of black american males will change.

Well, first off, there are more white people than black people. Secondly, I know plenty of asians that are with black people. It just depends on where you live.
