If you are a true friend you will let her know. The way you communicate to her is what's most important.
Sometimes people are not aware that they have a hygiene problem. It could be caused by a change in horomones (menstrual cycle) or a medical/dental issue or maybe she is not spending enough time bathing or wearing sweaty clothes.
Find a private place to speak to her alone, and mention to her that you think that she is pretty and you enjoy hanging out with her, but that you think she needs to know that her hygiene needs more personal attention. Use a polite tone of voice when you speak to her and do it in person so that she can see that you are not trying to be funny or mean to her.
Do not mention to her what others are saying about her, because that will embarrass her more, and do not give suggestions on how to bathe unless she asks you first.
If she cares anything about herself, she will go home and inspect herself to identify what is causing the problem is and more than likely seek assistance from someone she feels comfortable with.
Hopefully, she will take your advice well and maybe even seek you out to make sure she has her issue under control.
Telling people things like this is never easy. Good Luck!

No matter how you say it, her feelings are going to be hurt. I've seen this happen to a lot of people. Do it in private so that it's less embarrassing for her and just tell her that she should change her hygiene routine. Tell her there's nothing wrong with her she just needs to take a little bit more time caring for her body. You could tell her what you use and what you think works best.

She may not know she has a odor problem and it may be a chemical imbalance of some kind. If you tell her she will be offended. I had a friend with this problem and a bunch of us sent her some soap, mouthwash, deoderant with a typed note that said she needed to improve her hygene. When she told me about it I told her maybe it was her chemistry and she should seek medical advise. I never told her I knew. Good luck!

If she's your best friend, she'll appreciate you saying something. It's all in the way you tell her.
Just take her aside where no one else can hear and let her know you have something to tell her that she might get offended by but, you are trying to look out for her. You're not trying to hurt her feelings. Tell her there have been comments about her hygiene and if there's anything she can do to help you.

I would talk to her and tell her. Maybe no one has ever taught her proper hygiene.
Of if you dont want to tell her send her an anonymous package in the mail with different body washes, tooth paste, mouth wash, deodorants etc in it. Play stupid if she asks you about it. Of course you could not tell anyone that you are doing it, because someone would rat you out.

just be straight forward with her and tell her she has a lot of body odor. then suggest she take a good bath, use deodorant, and brush her teeth, and use mouth wash. if that doesn't get through to her head buy her a gift basket full of deodorants and perfumes and tell her to use them often.

Speak with somene who is closer to her if your not comfortable.. I know this one chick who is extremely smelly... (so is her b/f) they call her "cheeseburger" which is wrong... let her know that it is offending others...
A possibility is to buy a care package... with a loofa, body wash, good smelling lotion, and place some deoderant in there too....

Think about it from her perspective. Would you want her to talk to you if you had the problem? I think most people appreciate honesty, but you might not want to mention that other people have told you to talk to her b/c that would further embarrass her. Good luck.
