The instructions say to type in the boxes before printing but it doesn't seem possible.

The document does NOT contain the Acrobat FIELDs that would be required to let you type directly into the form.

Either open the file in full Acrobat (that'll cost you $250 or so) or another PDF editing software tool, or contact the school and point out that the form does not work "as advertised." Ask them if this is a test, and whether you get anything for asking the question. Good luck!

With your Acrobat Reader open and the form visible on your monitor, look in the Adobe tool bar up top. You will see an icon showing a T
clicking this will change the usual Adobe 'hand' into a T (for text)
then click in the box and start typing your information.

sorts that don't have textual content packing packing containers are purely files and are not any distinct than any record like a letter to Adobe Acrobat. so that you could fill the kind, you may want to edit the kind. you could't attempt this with Acrobat Reader. you should do it with the completed Acrobat product by technique of putting textboxes in your self and making the kind interactive.
