do they shave everything, or just around the bikini line? im planning on having sex for the first time soon and i dont want my boyfriend to be grossed out. how much does an average 18 year old shave down there?

Hmm....You don't have to shave at all if you don't want to. You could just trim it up and make it look clean (not like dirty clean, but clean cut) Just shave around the egdes so no pubes stick out your underwear and trim up ALL the hairs so they are short, but NOT stubbly. If you're thinking of going all out, shave everything and I mean everything, even in between your buttcrack lol, but BE CAREFUL!!! It takes a really long time though, so prepare.

Trim it all short then leave a LANDING STRIP on the top. Make the sides all smooth. The landing strip or maybe shave it into the shape of a heart so it points right down the middle! Or like that other girl said.. just be easier to lop it all off and keep it that way so you won't be getting ingrown hairs and such when it starts growing back!

If the ones reccomending a PLACE TO GO TO GET A WAX job actually have the name and address of a place that does this please share. Would you go bare YOUR beaver to a stranger to remove your fur? Probably NOT.

Don't shave it...imagine the pain getting cut down there by accident. Ouch! Just get a brazilian or playboy wax done by a professional. A brazilian is where they wax everything off and playboy is where they leave a strip of hair in the middle. The hair takes longer to grow back and your skin comes out smoother than shaving. Everyone has their own preference on what they like.

Usually you want to shave around the edges of the bikini line. When you do, you want to drag the razor from top to bottom and toward the center of your body. You do this so the hair grows back smoothly and isn't itchy or ingrown. If the hair itself is long, you might want to trim it with scissors (like you hairdresser cuts short hair) about 1-2 fingers from the body - this will also help you keep cooler in the summer.

For someone who's a virgin like yourself, you may want to start by just trimming. Trim it so it's nice and short. Don't worry about it being shaved completely. Then, later on if you'd like, you can shave it so there's a little triangle left... or little left. Finally, if you want to, you can start shaving it all.

I would just leave it natural. If your boyfriend is "grossed out" by that... dump the jerk. Personally, I think shaving makes it kinda scratchy. If you want to be bald, wax it. Guys won't complain about anything related to sex anyway, except for not getting it.
