I think it could well be, we have about 10 different races all plonked on one planet, we have 2 major religions, christianity and islam.
Christianity - Jesus is the son of God
Islam - It is a major insult to God to say Jesus is his son
We live in a universe FULL of stars with a high probabilty of other life forms non of which are mentioned in the Bible or Quran
So yes I do believe this could all be some sort of experiment, not neccesarily aliens but maybe a strange creator with a split personality.

Earth is a giant computer designer to compute the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything, to which the answer is 42. It will eventually be destroyed by a Vogon constructor fleet in order to make way for a hyperspace bypass.

No. Earth was created as a COMPLETE PROJECT by God. It is still in the testing phases and is expected to continue testing onto eternity.
That does not mean that it can not stand improvement. Build a house for a homeless person, and you will find the improvement.

It's an experiment in progress, I think. Watch "2001: A Space Odyssey". It all makes sense after watching that film. If you can understand it, that is.
