Ex & I agreed to be friends, not a bad break up either, but I only want to correspond by email. I'm chaning my number next week and he will be moving to another state so I will not run into him. Is this wrong of me even though I agreed to be friends with him?

No it's not wrong. Why entangle yourself with the emotional turmoil if you won't be seeing each other in another week or so. It makes sense to distance yourselves. You can be friends on the net. You haven't broken a promise, but kept it with conditions. I applaud your sensibility.

Why go thru the expense of changing your number? He's moving out of state. Doya really think he'd be making regular out of state phone calls? Now email, I can understand.
So what exactly is the responsibility of an out of state friend???
I would be more interested in acquiring local friends.

It's not wrong, there is nothing wrong with that but I wouldn't be friends with an ex just because I wouldn't feel comfortable talking to him If I'm dating someone else

Yes, you are Satan's spawn. If you don't like the guy, let him know. Obviously your breakup was bad enough to make you want to change your number and stop talking to this individual. Tell him you're still mad, or your conscience will eat you alive.

I think so,
To have friends is always a good idea, everybody needs have friends. As more friends you have as you'll have. Let him be your friend and be happy.

No, not at all. Hey, you don't have to correspond at all, that is your prerogative. When you do speak with him just let him know that you choose to communicate by e mail. GOOD LUCK!
