If so, where do you live? What do you do on Halloween instead of the traditional activities?

I grew up in a family that didn't believe in Halloween. Instead of Trick-or-Treating we had "Harvest Festival" ... the kids dressed up like bible characters. (I don't know what the bible has to do with harvest time.) Anyway, it was ridiculous. Now, as an adult, I love Halloween!

I live in Las Vegas so of course (being Sin City and all) it's not like it's the area that doesn't celebrate. I just know that some of my friends and family (and their friends and family) try and put some sort of a christian spin on it by not going trick-or-treating and by teaching about the meaning of the day and why it doesn't really vibe with christianity. But for various reasons they will still let the kids dress up and take them to the church sponsored carnival.

In Brooklyn Heights in NYC, this area of Brooklyn is home to Jehovah's Witnesses. They don't celebrate Halloween and their population in the community is equal to any town in the USA. Other than that, everyone in the community celebrates Halloween.

I live in Australia and we dont celebrate it!
You get some kids that go around trick or treating, but no one does there house up or anything cool like that! Over the past couple of years it has gotten bigger, but most parents tell there kids "its an american tradition" which is why we dont do anything!

In my neck of the woods (Corryton, Tn) they would like to NOT allow the kiddo's to go trick or treating. They come up with many different reasons from religious beliefs to concerns over traffic and so on. So far it's still a go..the kiddo's have fun and many of my neighbors still decorate for the festivities. Though I do expect it to fade away within the next few years.

Here in most places of the US Halloween is a big thing. Especially if you have children.

"Halloween" is good. "Trick or treat" is an American commercial festival designed to get the poor saps to spend more money.
