5 years ago the Lebanese were talking about becoming terorrists like Bin Laden but Al Queda beat them to it.
We got Iraq, Afghanistan, North Korea, and China to deal with.
I am not going to save Lebanon just to watch them regroup and attack me back later.

Look, if Lebanon can survive long enough for us to handle the other threats, I'll help it out so we can have a fair fight. But until then, I've got enough plenty powerful foes.

Edit:
Who has the US saved?
Ever heard of WW1 or WW2?
Those are the two blatantly easy and obvious answers. I shouldn't have to say ANYTHING else, even though small research could show a ton of other cases on smaller and more idividual levels.

Or are you talking about ME in particular. I've only saved one person's life from certain death, but I have helped out tons of people over the course of my life, and I will continue the trend. I guess. Heck, I don't see any reason not to.

Edit 2:
How about South Vietnam. South Korea. Kuwait. Liberia. France. England. Puerto Rico. And tose are off the top of my head in 10 seconds.

It's a bit of a fine line. Yes, he is the leader of the most powerful military souped up country in the world and yes, he should be using his power to help stop the bloodshed. But, he should be towing the global/UN line. God, even Blair is agreeing with the UN for once! He should be calling for an immediate ceasefire & condmening Israel & Hezbollah for what they are doing. But because of his sympathies with Israel & hatred of terrorist organisations like Hezbollah, he's too gutless to turn round to his friend and say "What your doing is wrong!"

It's all a question of who he should be standing with and he should be standing side-by-side with the other countries of the world & demanding both sides to stop.

Perhaps Lebanon and Syria should have lived up to their part of the Oslo accords and castrated Hezbollah when they had the chance.

Instead, they supported them with weapons and money, and demanded that Hezbollah kill women and children in Israel.

Retribution is hard sometimes, bucko. Place the blame where it belongs, and not on people defending themselves.

You mean the innocents that march and dance in the streets in the hundreds of thousands waiving guns and shouting "Death To America"? Those innocents?

I also agree with the 1st persons answer.

Typical liberal BS. "George Bush should do something". "George Bush should stop interfering with other countries".
"George Bush should do something". "George Bush should stop interfering with other countries".
"George Bush should do something". "George Bush should stop interfering with other countries".
"George Bush should do something". "George Bush should stop interfering with other countries".

You can't have it both ways. But like the stereotypical Liberal, it's always going to be G. Bush's fault. He's sitting in lebanon directing the Hezbolah missile attacks.

Yeah, sure....one word from him....You think he's God or something? Hezbollah listens to no one. Perhaps if you got them to step out from behind the innocents, they wouldn't be dying. But you can't convince the cowards to do that.

do you know that Bush vetoed the act that Israel should stop the attacks?? Bush supports crime and murder don't you know that? He's a ******* redneck cowboy hoolegan!

Bush is so violent cuz he was sexually molested as a kid - hardcore! So he grew up and sent his soldiers to Iraq to molest children and women

It is true that one who gets abused, grows up into an abuser.

yes in deed, like a plant, bush has nothing to do right now but vegitate and watch all the red over there right now.a man of god well how maney good men have used that responce before as yes i am a man of god,if it makes the person feel safe and sound then you could say that, yes he is a man of god,,but he ant no saint, and he is not trying to save souls from the lake of fire,he is like a plant. woeman, children, mother ,civilians, lved ones, etc, of whatever religon, blood is blood, its red,and all differnt types. well i would try harder if i was with magic powers to stop the red ,from flowing as ,if i could save one soul ,inocent or not ,as a real christen i got to save without pregudice, cant pick and chose,no way it dont work like that. also one word, yes i like that i personally would as a christian like to here that word from his lips even if ,as we know he could not stop the bloodbath, you are thinking he is able to stop something like the blood bath there, i really wish it was so,,just for a miniut i dream of that......... but now understand bush is watcing tv and like a plant ,for a while he watches and talkes with his advisors who ,have no personal feeling in the matter as they cant afford that luxery. nothing no power to stop ,one word ,would not help anyone or anything. he does not want to stop it not right now, some christin ha...politicail talks ,lotes of them when the chips are down ,leaders must push and take great risk ,politicaly if they want to save inicent life,it ant easy in a bloodbath to put on bandaids, but if they all together would try a little harder ,if not for stopping tha blood, then just for the poeples hopes for such things, you know it makes you feel beter.to know you not just worthless ,even in mortal sin end of tragidy,it helps to think ,,hope...anyway bush is a guiness, and he is like a plant now, like most of us are,in shock too...one or two words of caring thoughts would make my day for shure,..
