It never happened to me, but in 1989 I took my son to the former Soviet Union and he came down with appendicitis. Fortunately we were in a big city with actual hospitals, and he survived the surgery.
Try to find - AC, the shade, an ice chest, a breeze, a ceiling fan, someone to fan you, somewhere with water, a sheet to cover yourself. Hunker down with your Ipod and a book.

Wherever you are, if it away from home and usual environment, then there is something to learn. If you are uncomfortable, get over it and make it a vacation to remember. Quit whining and make a life!

I drug myself to that place....
I decided to "man up", drink some water and have fun in spite of it.... and stayed for a yr and a half already.
(that place is Iraq... is 130 hot enough?)

I made them get air conditioning, found some cool people, and went to pools and ate ice cream.
