Is it true that the true test of a partisan politician is not only being able to please thier party but to also be able to please thier opponents?

thats not possible, right now the liberals will hate everything that bush does just because he does it. All the libs are about is winning elections so they can abuse power.

no. He has a responsiblilty to his constituants. If he can please everyone, that is great, but the people who voted for him, for specific reasons, are first.

It is not possible to please everyone. What pleases liberals upsets conservatives, and what pleases conservative upsets liberals. Failure to oppose one side or the other upsets everyone.
