contour your cheeks by brushing or putting a darker color such as a dark tan or brown under your cheeks as well as along you jaw line.
Do not be afraid. play with your makeup. you can always wash it off.

Okay the answer below is a little ridiculous. Please do not put dark colors on your cheeks! I'm not going to lie and say that makeup will do a complete hundred percent job, but a few tricks of the trade are:
1. Do not go with a darker foundation..do something natural that will embrace your natural skin tone.
2. Also do not wear dark colored eyeshadows or blushes..this will make your face look like it has too much....and according to your problem a little less is what you need right?
3. basically stay with the natural colors, and a huge secret is wearing your hair down. If you wear your hair down then the sides of your face will not be protruding half as much as when you pull it back in a pony tail.
Hopefully these tricks helped you out a bit. The only reason i offer advice is because a few years ago I gained some weight and had the same problem. So while trying those awesome ricks I listed above I got back into shape and things started to look up:) Don't worry and keep smiling:)

Suck in your cheeks and apply brozer with a big brush.
Also use brozer to define the outline of your face!
I LOVE bronzer.

Use a darker color in the hollow of your cheeks (the part thatcaves in when you suck in your cheeks) and a lighter, shimmery color on top of your cheek bones

Forget the "make up".
Become my friend and I tell you how to do it without "make up".
No bs.
Do you know why women wear "make up" ?
I guess I should ask this as a question,
but I don't feel like it.

use a blush and a bronzer... use the blush on the apples of your cheeks and the bronzer where the sun would naturally kiss your face
