Or should you not even care... and keep mailing them just because? Well i'm saying this cause i had several penpals that suddenly decided to not mail me.. so, i had imagined we had become good friends after 2 years,, and then they leave without warning. Plus another thing is, if i'm never going to meet them what am i reall doing just writing to them sharing my thoughts , thoughts that graduatlly get deeper and deeper... I'm confused. anyone have any opinion?

It gets boring writing to people when you realize after a while that you may never see them. There no longer seems to be much point in continuing the writing. And you run out of stuff to write to a stranger. There are some exceptions where you do each other some good.

One of my dearest friends is a pen-pal I've had on-line for over 6yrs. I've never met him, or talked to him on the phone, and fleeting pictures, though have given a face to the words, haven't made me feel any closer to him.

My friend is found in the words, and not knowing him in that I see him everyday, almost makes it easier to spill my guts. His advice is always kind, honest and helpful, and my encouragements are always warm and sincere.

But sometimes, the closer you get to some one, the farther they get from you. It happens...sounds like your friends were only comfortable with a certain level of intimacy and then no more. I'm sorry that they've not written or communicated.

It would make things easier if you understood why they stopped writing, so have you asked them? Though you may never get an answer, the asking might help you be able to move on.

I hope this helps:)

You're friends when you both can coexist in person after meeting for the first time. I've got a friend from D.C. who i met on-line 8 years ago. I've flown to visit at least 6 times. I was her half-assed prom date. So, you see?

only be secure. I gave people my telephone numbers and we chatted threw telephone. So I knew they werent 60 year old perverts on line. yet I do admit i changed into stupid for doing that. i turned right into a newborn. So i imagine its superb to get to understand people on line. do only not supply out any tips. Like the position you stay, your telephone numbers ect. yet in case you do opt to hitch up. Get a pal to bypass with you and bypass to a public position faraway from the position you stay. as long as someone is round you, friends or strangers. Your probebly secure. ^_^ good success.
