I think it is too dangerous. You just can't trust anyone.

If I knew I could actually help them, I would, but If they are changing a tire and doing something I know I can't help with then no. If I saw a family starting to walk away from the car or just kids any way I would probebly stop to see if could help also. Otherwise I'm not a mechanic, I would just add to the number of people on the side of the road and increase the chances of causing an accident.

I stop almost every time because I appreciate it when others do the same for me. Sometimes, if I'm leery about it, I'll just roll the window down a bit and ask if I can make a call for them. No bucket, no lotion, no poodle, no worry.

the reason people do not stop any more like they used to is, more and more people are getting car jacked and robbed when they do stop.
unlike years ago you would stop and help and get a thanks, now you could get killed just so some one can joy ride, and if people have children in the car, why would anyone stop if they have children in their cars..they could get their families killed.
people are much meaner now than just a few years ago.
that's why
sorry but true

good luck

Yes, I would help them. Or at least I think I would. It is pretty scary out there anymore. When you watch the news people get killed just by trying to help others. So, I guess I would if it were in a highly traveled area, and I was not alone with my children.

it's not really safe to do that anymore, so I would not risk my own safety. I would rather call the police or ambulance service for them, it's not that I don't want to help, but that person at the side of the road could be a mass murderer or rapist or anything.

I've stopped quite a few times in the past few years.

As long as I walk away alive, I'll keep stopping when I can

I believe i would stop and ask if they needed assistance.....with the knowledge that some people - women in particular - would be leery of accepting help, especially from a man. If she declined, i would apologize and leave.

I would if my husband or one of my male friends was with me. It's too dangerous to stop on the road by yourself here in Memphis. People pretend to be in trouble just so they can get you to pull over and then they hijack your car and leave your body in a ditch!!
