How about Carlos after Carlos Santana (Mexican roots with an Afro-Cuban sound) or Carlos Manuel Rodriguez (first Puerto Rican and second Latin American to be beatified)?

I think what makes a name unique is the spelling. You can take an ordinary name and make it unique by changing a few letters in it...my brother's name is Branden (with an e, not an o). Or you could do what my mom did to get my name...she took 2 names, butchered them, and put the 2 names as one. My name is Kayleen. My grandma's chinese name was Sook Kay and so, she took Kay, chopped off Kath from Kathleen and ended up with Kayleen. Try looking in a name book for ideas to create your own.
