Are you stilled married. If it was an inheritance then no you are not entitiled. If it was a insurance settlement you might be entitled if part of the settlement was based upon the fact you were married. If the money is his retirement fund you would be entitled to some of the money. Your best bet is to file for divorce and then he would have to explain were the money came from. The other question I have is how you know about the money. If it is in a bank account make sure you keep a copy of the record to prove that he actually had that much money. Just because a person is spending money does not mean they have it. If you are still married you could call his former employer and maybe get answers from them ie retirement account. Another sneaky thing to do is to call another car insurance company putting both you and on the insurance they will be able to tell you if a claim has been filed or paid to him because they will not want to give you the premium rate. Call his family members to see if there might have been a death in the family that he did not tell you about - say that you really regret not calling eariler but heard that there had been a death in the family and want to offer your condolences. When they say ya or nay then you will know what to do next - if they say no there is no death say then you are kind of worried because hubby is spending money like he is terminally ill and even though you dont live together you are still concerned - you never know what family might tell ya. Well hope this helps some.
Happy sneaking

If you are still married, consult a lawyer and let him do the rest. Depending on where the money came from and how long you've been married, you might be entitled to some of it.

Maybe you can use a court ordered discovery action? But you'd have to pay for that. Consult a lawyer.
