Multiple questions on one main topic:
Is attaining each level an accomplishment that's a reward in itself?
Now I am at level 4 so I should concentrate on getting to level 5? but why? for points? What is the point of yahoo answers? Did anyone get the thank you's they are supposed to send out? Does anyone really care if they are featured member once you hit the upper levels.
Why are we here?

Do you answer the questions for points or do you answer the questions because this is as close to a decent conversation you can get, especially in a world where talking to real people shows how much ignorance there is in the world?
This is a place to be opinionated and pick and choose what to answer, as opposed to sitting in a group of people where one person dominates the conversation with things you either don't care about or don't want to talk about. In this place, you have at least a choice. The points are just to let people have a minor incentive of world domination. And the privilege to give your opinion more than a level one. Bigger voice.
