Hep C is a bloodborne pathogen. It is transmitted through the blood. Even so, I know it can be passed through sexual intercourse sometimes, especially if someone has another type of infection. But there are precautions that can be taken, so no, he won't get it if they are careful.

I thought I saw a blurp of this on the news yesterday. So it is true. Well, best of luck to them. Yes, they need to be careful as not to spread any STDs between them.
