I checked the google one, but the photo I got is at least 18 months old. I now have a red roof on my 3-car garage, yet it shows up as grey in the photo. The huge tree in my front yard had to be cut down over a year ago, and it's still there in the photo.

Yes fly a plane over your house. Take a camera with you! Jump out of the plane and get a picture before you land in the chimney.
Note it is critical for you look at the house before you land.

you can install google earth and search your address and it will show you the top and an aerial view of your house. It isn't, however updated that often and it won't show the front of your house. Beyond that i am not sure. Hope that helps.
