Do I need a phone connection to access the internet if I have DSL and a router?

I do not use my home phone since everybody calls to my cell and I'm trying to get rid of that extra bill but I'm not sure if I need the phone to access the net.

If you're planning to have DSL then YES you need to have a phone line.
Ither option would be cable or WIFI--but that is you need to look for hotspot.

If you have a DSL modem, yes you need a phone line. Get cable if you don't want to use a phone line.
