I would loved to have been there when Siddhartha Gautama achieved Enlightenment and became the Buddha. Outside of the theological context, I would have to say 20 July 1969, when Neil Armstrong first set foot on the Moon. I was born about a year later, so I would kind of like to catch up on that important part of human history.

Okay. I'd go to July 2, 1776. I would have liked to be at Independence Hall when the Continental Congress first saw the Declaration of Independence. It must have been a bloody affair--Southerners screaming and Jefferson writhing. I don't know. It would be nice to see it happening.
