eBay just announced (July 19, 2006) a 500% increase in store listing fees, in addition to increasing the final value fees for stores.

Will you close your eBay store because of this?

This is not BS. Read your Bill Cobb email in your My eBay message folder.

Oh, and final value fees will also be increased for stores another 2-3%

it a little exaggeration but yes they are increasing their fees, it funny i hear a lot of people say their going to close their store and just do auctions or go to a web sight only but they forget that it is STILL cheaper to list and put picture on it than it would for an auction OK listing is going up from what is 3-5 cent or something like that OK it cost .35 cent just for a 7 day auction and another .35 cents for the gallery so you still save

I have a web page and that is not cheap because you half to keep it up pay for domain for web space/s that a monthly fee and then it cost if you want to have them added to a search engine like google or iwon or some other one so in a way i don't agree with the increase because it is a large increase and because they did not long ago increase the store selling price they don't let you try it for free any more

I do think since they opened eBay express they are wanting to push out the store but truthfully i think eBay express is a joke.

sure! some cases friends or relative help one yet another out. some cases they help themselves out. despite if it is against EBay's regulations it does ensue. some human beings set up commerce money owed with Ebay and Pay chum employing a PO container as an address. they often bid on an merchandise to maintain it from merchandising under they like. One reason they do it is using the fact they are assessed a %value with the aid of EBAY for the quantity they checklist an merchandise for. The extra they initiate bidding for the extra they pay, the less the lesser they are assessed. by no potential click on "watch merchandise". the enterprise knows of what proportion bidders are observing. it is ultimate to bookmark the item and bid minutes before the bid ends. oftentimes they'll bid on there merchandise with the alias and set an vehicle bid to circulate it as much as their extra favorable fee.

Wow,that is a major increase. That is a good reason why LOTS of people don't have ebay stores anymore, just like me. I will stick to buying & selling normaly.

i wont close my store just yet. I will see how all the new changes that he talk about will affect my bottom line. But I will cut down the number of listing I have in my store like things that dont really sell well. I guess it kinda forces you to be more proactive in your store management.
