Only 115 so far. I was nervous about taking the Magna any higher.

Now that I have a 6R, it's only a matter of time. Unfortunately, because of the way the bike is set up, the speedo isn't in my line of sight. At those speeds, I want my eyes on the road, not watching the needle. So I may never know how high I get!

i did 180 mph... on a '99 R1
my crazy buddy did 200 mph on his '03 R1...
but there is an issue about speedo accuarcy...
and hayabusas won't do 220-230 mph unless heavily modified...
the new crotch rockets have a speed limit of 186 set in 2000 or 2001...

there was a bike by moto guzzi called the otto cilindri. It had eight cylinders. It was shaped like a bullet and could reach speeds over 200 mph. It is the reason for many of the engine modification restrictions in bike racing.

personally 163 on police radar!! ouch. there is a club in the western USA that runs on an abandoned air strip that routinely clocks in 250 mph +, registered by speed traps. (more accurate than speedos or radar.) They do provide classes on high speed runs and give you three attempts to join the 250 club with the class. they do run modified bikes, factory setting wont allow speeds that high.

I've done 132 MPH on my little 500. Hayabusa's can do like 220 or 230.
