One good answer from all the people that disagree with Bush's veto. The questioner's agreeing answerers simply give insults. Is that the best they can do? ONE FREAKING GOOD ANSWER? Now scroll down the list and look at the people who agree with Bush's veto, and how they explain their arguement. Can you Libs please come up with better arguements than simple insults? I'm so tired of it.

.... there are equally bad arguments... none use facts or cite anything... just "my morals"... and they don't even talk about specifics, which no one seems to have...

why do conservatives put down everyone that doesn't agree with them... and they don't even have reasons for what they believe... cite some facts... someone.. please

and to generalize that all liberals this way is EXTREMELY NAIVE... oh.. off of this one question... well it proves everything doesn't it...

You know what I a Liberal am as tired as anybody that it is difficult to get an intelligent answer and if you think the politic section is bad go take a look at religion and spirituality. I don't agree with Bush for many reasons and I do know all the arguments. However this bill would have only effected fertilized eggs that are going to be destroyed anyway. The fertility clinics, hold for a time, eggs that have been fertilized. Then with the donors permission they destroy them so it makes no sense to spout rhetoric about killing unborn babies. They will be killed anyway.

It's a question, but it's a bit much to ask! Liberals (and left wingers in general) have no valid arguments, so insulting anyone who dares to oppose them is all they know.

Take Tony Blair- anyone who opposed the UK adopting the Euro was dismissed as "racist", "xenophobic", or "little englanders" - all quotes from blair or senior members of his government.

Similar insults were hurled at anyone who dared to suggest that immigration was out of control, or that we should do something about the islamic extremists in our midst.

Now the government admits it has no Idea how many foreigners are living here illegally. The London bombings last year justified the fearsabout extremists, and depite not joining the Euro, our government has maintained a healthy economy purely by taxing it's citizens to death!

It's a very complex argument. Based solely on religious beliefs that belong to the christian conservative sect (and I don't say this as a liberal, I say it as an independent/moderate), legislation is being passed in our country stopping people from doing something that is morally right to them, just because it is morally wrong to someone else. You said in your response to that question that someone who isn't religious could never understand how wrong it is to play God (paraphrase)... But who says these researchers are trying to play God, rather than simply improve someone's quality of life at no expense to anyone else (before the argument starts, I'll point out that this veto is against even the collection of stem cells from umbilical cords - that doesn't involve killing embryos). Under that argument, aren't you saying that we should also stop creating prescription drugs that help cure diseases? That treatments for cancer should be abandoned? That because surgery to save a heart attack victim means trying to prolong someone's life and that means we're playing God? Where do you draw the line? Where does anyone? It should be drawn at a place where, without bringing harm to others, everyone is free to practice their own moral beliefs without restriction from a more conservative group. People in the Middle East don't all believe in listening to music. Because they think it's immoral, does that mean we should all be prevented from listening to it? It's the same argument, but of a more pronounced magnitude.

Where does anyone get the impression that Bush has forbidden stem cell research?

The bill would furnish "Federal Taxes" to support the research.

The research will go on. Neither Bush nor anyone else is outlawing the research.

Regardless of Bush's belief about the procedure, he can,did try to prevent it being "paid by taxpayers".
Why in hell don't people understand what the "ISSUE" is?

Has everyone lost their hearing their sight and can't hear or read?
Stem cell research will continue.

No they can't. They have no arguments and no ideas. It is rather hilarious. Did you hear today that they're planning to trot out Edwards and Gore as potential presidential candidates? LMAO, you'd think the fact they were roundly beaten with both of 'em would scare them off but nope, dems are naturally moronic!! More power to the cons!!!

You are not the measure of intellegence. You are not the measure of a good answer. You are not the measure of a good question. Continue to live in you little glassbox and believe because your republican you are right.

You are right. About everything of course.

Isn't it funny that the former childhood bullies who remain that way in adulthood still love the word dumb? Even more so that they capitalize it to try to make it more hurtful.

Please strive for a bit more kindness. I'm sure it's there in your "religion" somewhere.
